Can you guess who won
awards at the 2012 County Tour-
ism Awards last week? Icecul-
ture. Tile ice creations company
who put Bluewater on the reap
around the world took the Thur -
ism Development Award. I les-
senland took the Tourism
Champion Award. So tourism is
alive and well in Bluewater, or is
it? When you consider that Blue -
water has the most beachfront,
the largest marina and the
coolest name of any municipal-
ity on Ontario's West Coast
shouldn't everyone have Blue -
water on their travel bucket list?
Tourism is 13IG business.
According to an Ontario
Regional Tourism Profiles Study
conducted in 20011, tourism is
one of the rnost important eco-
nomic activities in Southwest-
ern Ontario. 'Tourism receipts in
the area, which includes the
Lake Huron shoreline, were
over two million dollars. If only
there was a way for Bluewater's
tourism businesses to access a
bigger share of the rnarket. Well
there is. A new integrated reser-
vation system has already gen-
erated more than $250,000 in
sales since September 2013. 'Ihe
Reservation System is conn -
prised of over 200 tourism busi-
nesses from across the I luron,
Perth, Waterloo and Wellington
Regions to assist tourists in
planning and booking vacations

Rest in peace Margaret Thatcher
My wife Janet and 1 happened to
be in England visiting our daughter
when we heard of Margaret 'Ihatch-
er's passing. My daughter asked me
why site Was so loved and hated at
the sante time. I replied that she
made the tough decisions and did
the heavy lifting that needed to be
done to save the UK from financial
ruin. She had the courage to do that
while others have backed away from
the challenge. The unproductive
government-owned businesses like
British Rail, British Gas and British
Airways were cut off from the public
trough and made to survive in the
free-market. And, that is exactly what
happened. While in the UK, we
traveled on both British Airways and
British Rail - 1 can assure you that
they have become very productive
businesses that value customer
service.
The political left and their union
allies have tried to grab the spotlight
in this sombre time by producing a
song called "The Wicked Witch Is
Dead" While perhaps not a surprise,
such behaviour is a disgrace to the

legacy that l.ady'ihatcher has left for
Britain.
The real story of her courage and
character was detailed in an editorial
in the Daily News. A columnist wrote
about when his father was dying and
Wynne And Lose
Well, here we go again with the old
Liberals and their new leader. In the
short time new leader Ms Wynne has
been steering the Liberal ship of
Ontario, it has become evident that
her heading is very much in the same
direction as the now missing in action
old leader, what's his name.
In regards to the wind turbine prob-
lems, Ms Wynne sounds so sympa-
thetic saying "That really hurts. It
pains Ole about the wind turbine
problems, local communities need
more input about wind turbines'; Yah
right, as if local communities didn't
know that already. She did not say
"communities will have the final say"
So what is her point anyways? Should
we feel sorry for her or what? From
the town of Clinton, a headline read
"Wynne handles Protestors'; there
site claimed "that she feels there's as
much opposition as there is for wind
turbines" 1 guess it depends on what
side of the fence your on to under-
stand It's true meaning.
On the topic of the school teacher
problems, Ms Wynne was asked in
Cornwall "Will you he able to mend
fi'llet's %vit11 teachers?" she replied "I
believe we are well on our way
because in a Kingston school, 1 met
with some students and teachers and
they are very happy their extra curric-
ular's are back'. That begs the ques-
tion as to why so many of the other
teachers are still upset, don't they
understand or believe Nis Wynne?
Concerning sex education in all
schools, in articles dated in January
2013, they state Ms Wynne is commit-
ted to the curriculum for school chil-
dren that commences with sex educa-
tion in grade I, with the student
naming genitalia and other body
parts. In grade :3, students would learn
about "sexual orientation" and "gen-
der identity" Grade 6 will have the stu-
dents discussing masturbation as
"common" and "not harmful" 13y
grade 7 they would discuss oral and
anal intercourse and learn about the
use of condones. These articles also
say, school boards such as Toronto
Prime Minister Thatcher was Prime
Minister and a member of their
church congregation. 'Thatcher was
in Crniada in 1988 at the G7 summit
and heard of his father's death. She
penned a hand written four page let-
ter which was delivered a day later to
his mother saying how sorry she was
and what a great 111811 he was.
She returned in time to attend the
funeral and arrived an hour before
the service. The priest came to her
and said "Prime Minster Thatcher,
you are here an hour early for the
service." She was sitting alone at the
front of the church and replied, "I am
well aware of that but wanted to
arrive early so i would not be a dis-
traction to the widow by arriving as
the service started." Our world could
use a lot more people like Margaret
'thatcher.
May you rest In peace Baroness
Thatcher - you will not be forgotten.
Best regards,
Peter Coleman
President and CEO
National Citizens Coalition
and Hamilton are forbidding parents
from removing their children during
controversial discussions. Ars Wynne
believes this new program in our
schools will be a means of tackling
"homophobia" among; today', youth.
Nis Wynn' appears to have lots to
say and the above is only a brief out-
line of three topics she has talked
about. As you read mor(' about Ms
Wynne's agenda on different topics,
she also seems to have the name call-
ing, labelling of people and putting
words into people's mouth ability, just
like what's his name, you know that
other Liberal leader they had.
Listening to her chatty talkie talk,
one can quickly see her cunningness
and manipulating what she says to
constantly appear positive, even when
it's not. You should now have a gen-
eral idea of what the Liberal party
really appears to stand for with Ms
Wynne in command.
