Real motive for Hasket is behind the lens

Behind that hug' smile. Behind
that sunny disposition you can
see executive producer Erin 1 las-
ket knows exactly what she wants
and she is going places. With a
null last week the Real House-
wives of Vancouver was nomi-
nated for Canadian Screen
Awards (our equivalent to E11mmys
and ()scars combined) and Erin,
as producer for the category of
Hest Reality Show.
Raised in 1.11can, Erin, 35 is
the eldest of three to funeral hone

sister to Colin and Jennifer. She
remembers that this is what she
has always wanted to do. "When I

The cast of Erin Hasket's new one-hour crime drama called MOTIVE, which airs

about that," she says, adding she is also
overseeing a number of new shows in
development for Lark Productions (we
have a development and distribution deal
with N11(: universal International).
From acclaimed Executive Producer
Daniel Cerone (THE MEN'I'AI.1S'I; DEX-
TER), MOTIVE is a captivating one-hour
crime drama that follows spirited female
homicide detective Angie Flynn on a back-
wards chase for clues to a killer that has
already been revealed to viewers. Set Iuu1
shot in Vancouver, the "whydunit" stars

woman's resume, Erin has developed

with a great company called Paperny Films
where she was head of Development
before joining I Auk Productions.
Prior to television Erin did develop-
ment for feature films. '1he last movie she
worked on was'I11(' Inlaginariunl of 1)oc-
tor Parnassus, which was the film Heath
Ledger (lied while they were in the mid-
dle of making. She was the Executive in
Charge of Production on that films. "1
have worked on many other films on var-
ious different roles from producer assist-
ant to production supervisor:"

2002. "Because 1 knew what 1 wanted to
do, 1 didn't want to spend four years at
university learning film theory - I wanted
hands on work experience and the

Coming home
Erin travels to'1'oronto about once a
month for broadcaster Meetings so she
tries to head hack to (rand Bend, where
parents 11111 and Sue live, at least four
tinges a year and definitely around the
holidays" I have two nephews and a
niece in Lucan and love any chance to
see them since 1 have chosen to live on
the other side of the country. I love any
chance to spend time on Lake Huron,
eating at (Eine with my parents or The
Only in London. I occasionally like the
opportunity to snowmobile or spend
time seatlooing or paddle boarding on
the lalkt'.'
