walking at all? Could you think of an alternative
way to help out? We have, but we need your help to
make a difference. Walk for Memories is a local
fundraiser that brings people throughout the com-
munity together for a common goal to walk in
awareness of Alzheimer's disease and raise funds
to provide support for the caregivers and people
living with Alzheimer's disease and other demen-
tias in Huron County. All funds raised stay right
here in our local communities helping neighbours,
parents, grandparents, friends and family. Cur-
rently there are an estimated 1 1110 people in Huron
County living with Alzheimer's disease, and as our
local population ages those numbers are projected
to rise by 40% in Tess than 10 years.
You and your colleagues can contribute to the
cause against Alzheimer's disease by joining the

Walk for Memories on January 26, 2013 in 5 loca-
tions throughout 110ron County. ibis walk is a little

County enter teams into Team Walk Challenge to
share a fun clay with friends and co-workers to
show their support for the community. Our county
goal is to raise $55 000, all of which will go directly
towards those affected by Alzheimer's disease.
'There are prizes for the top fundraising team and
the most creative team uniforms but the real
reward is recognition within the community for
supporting such a worthy cause and knowing
you've contributed to slaking a real difference in
the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's disease
and other dementias.
