Summary: The Notice below outlines recent updates from noise studies conducted for the proposed Bluewater Wind Energy Centre. The proponent's studies show that the proposed
project Is compliant with all regulatory standards.

Varna Wind, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy Canada, ULC, is planning to engage in a renewable energy project in respect of which the Issuance of a renewable
energy approval is required. The Project will be owned and operated by Vama Wind, Inc. The proposal to engage in the project, and the project itself, Is subject to the provisions of the
Environmental Protection Act (Act) Part V.0.1 and Ontario Regulation 359/09 (Regulation). This Notice is being distributed in accordance with Section 54.1 of the Regulation prior to an
application being submitted and assessed for completeness by the Ministry of the Environment.
.'he publication of the Notice indicates that Vama Wind, Inc., believes that the proposed project is compliant with all regulatory standards. The legal effect of this Notice is should another
party, not affiliated with this project, pursue future development in the area, they are solely responsible to ensure noise levels meet all regulatory requirements, as per Section 54 (1.2)
and Section 54.1(c) (i) or (0).
Project Description: Pursuant to the Act and Regulation, the facility, in respect of which this project is to be engaged in, is a Class 4 Wind Facility. If approved, this facility would have
a total maximum name plate capacity of 60 -megawatts.
The main project components include: up to 41 wind turbine locations will be permitted, however only up to 37 turbines will be constructed; access roads; electrical collector and trans-
mission lines; a substation, and an operation and maintenance building, as shown in Figure 1. All wind turbines will be located in the Municipality of Bluewater with a 115 kV electrical
transmission line extending into the Municipality of Huron East.
The proposed electrical transmission line is located in the road right-of-way as shown in Figure 2. Prior to determining the final location of the transmission line, environmental studies,
electrical codes, permitting requirements, land owner input, and Hydro One requirements are considered. As these further studies are conducted, information will be shared and public
input will be considered to determine the final route.
Documents for Public Inspection: The Draft Site Plan titled "Draft Site Plan — Bluewater Wind Energy Centre" identifies the project components and locations listed above, The Draft
Site Plan will be made available for public inspection on December 21, 2011 at www.NextEraEnergytCanada.corp, the Huron County Office and the Municipality of Bluewater and
Huron East offices.
