sewer rate could
increase $22 per year

If the three partners, South I luron,
Bluewater and Lambton Shores agreed to
honour the mediated agreement for the
Sewage Treatment Facility the 2,700 cur-
rent sewer users in Lambton Shores would
have had an increase in their fees to tht'
tune of $22 a year.
Gary Scandlan of Watson and Associ-
ates attended council last week to assist
council in its discussion about various
financing options for the Sewage Treat-
ment Facility. 'Ihe $22 number was based
on the original agreement where there
would be 35 new homes being built every
year for ten years equaling 350. For 600
new homes from the Rice and Southbend
and other new developments over the
next ten years and 1886 homes from zones
three and four. Since the other two part-
ners have decided options different than
the agreement- Scandlan has been asked
to come back with options without the
1886 homes in zones three and four.
Ward two councilor Doug Bonesteel
said, " As a council they made a covenant
with the people of Zones 3 and 4, through
the Ad Hoc Sewer Advisory Committee
that we would not discuss the sewer mat-
ter, including the future plant, until we
