Lil Audrey entertains for at Queensway
"Lil Audrey's" skill on the keyboard and big
voice had toes tapping and residents dancing
as they enjoyed her many familiar tunes at the
October Birthday party Thursday October 27th.
It was wonderful to have many family & friends
join us for the party and we thank the wonder-
ful volunteers who contributed to the success
f the event.
IBS Clothing Company set up shop at
Queensway Friday October 21st providing an
extensive selection of Fall & Winter Clothing for
shoppers to choose from. A big thank you goes
out to volunteer Edna Deitz who spent the day
assisting residents with their choices. Local
seniors were also in to browse & benefit from
the convenience & reasonable prices.

with Joyce Pepper as volunteer pianist.
Baking group, in keeping with a Fall and Hal-
loween theme stirred up a batch of "Pumpkin
Gob's" from a recipe in the October Readers
Digest. The tasty & fun cookies are a pumpkin
version of Whoopie Pies with the cookie part
featuring pumpkin and the centre made of
cream cheese, lemon juice & lemon zest along
with icing sugar. The spicy scent drew many
eager taste testers.
Residents gathered in the Sunroom Thurs-
day to participate in an old fashioned Jack o
Lantern carving. There was some reluctance at
first to pulling out the slimy insides of the two
pumpkins but once started the process was
soon completed and two happy faced pump-
kins were ready to adorn the front entrance.
