Autumn Indulgence
Get away with Autumn Indulgence
The end of summer is a perfect time to start mak-
ing future travel plans. The Autumn Indulgence
Royal Gala is offering three exciting travel packages
as part of its live auction. "There will be something
for everyone - whether you want to ski, bask in the
sun, or go to a remote place you've never been
before," says event co-chair Craig Scott.
Autumn Indulgence, the annual fundraiser of
the Rotary Chub of Grand Bend, will take place on
Saturday, September 17 at the 1luron Country
Playhouse.
The live auction is offering a "trip to (almost)
anywhere in the world," which includes airfare and
one week's luxury accommodation for two
people.
The accommodation is donated by Rotarian
Bruce Shaw, offering a choice of some 35,000 pre-
mier resorts worldwide, including cruises.
'Ihe flight is arranged through Aeroplan, which
offers a choice of more than 900 destinations in
159 countries. This was made possible by the
donation of reward miles by Rotarians, their
spouses, and generous members of the
community.
'line live auction also includes a one-week trip to
Greece and Turkey, including a four -night cruise,
donated by Transat Holidays. And for skiers, Craig
and Cathy Scott are donating luxury accommoda-
tion for a week in mid-March at Park City, Utah,
the site of the U.S. winter Olympics and home to
some of the best skiing in the world. Other unique
live auction offerings are a dream kitchen makeo-
ver fmm MacLeans Bonne I Iardware Building Cen-
tre Grand Bend, and a portrait by popular artist
Teresa Marie starring you as the Mona Lisa.
This year the theme for Autumn Indulgence is
Royalty. "Guests are encouraged to come dressed
in tiaras, crowns, flowing gowns and regal robes -
their finest Royal regalia," says Rotarian Ed Fluter,
who will be helping to choose patrons with the best
costumes. The evening also features a steak and
lobster feast, two outstanding bands for listening
