Tornado hits down in Lambton
It's now official -- that was a tornado
that brought down steel power trans-
mission towers in Lambton County on
Saturday, July 23.
Environment Canada has confirmed
it was an F2 tornado that left the trail of
damage half a kilometre wide and 11
km long, extending from 7 to 8 km
southeast of Wyoming to 10 to 12 kin
south of Watford.
Environment Canada said the dam-
age, including a destroyed barn, was
consistent with an F2 tornado, with
wind speeds in the 180 to 230 km/h
range.
