Better
Laere Advance
Grand Bend Aquafest is back
for a third year, with three days of
events spread out over five ven-
ues along the Lake Huron
shoreline,.
"It's like the ripple that grows
outward when a dhop hits the
water's surface," says Aquafest
Co -Chair Janette Baillie of the
growth Aquafest is enjoying since
it started three years ago. "While
inuny of our signature events are
back, we have some new addi-
tions. We're particularly thrilled
to have the Chippewas of Kettle
and Stony Point First Nation tak-
ing part this year with activities
an West 1pperwash Beach:'
Aquafest is now in its third
year of raising awareness and
promoting stewardship of water
resources. The festival is aimed
at all ages with a wide range of
events, attractions and activities.

"There's no doubt we have a
lot of fun things to do and see,
and we do help to bring people
into Grand Bend during the wan-
ing days of summer, but our most
important achievement is help-
ing people to understand the
importance of water and how to
protect our precious water
resources. That's our main
focus," says Mossop.
