promises of
action against
mosquitoes

Winter's extraordinary snowfall fol-
lowed by spring's persistent rains and
washing away of well intentioned extra
treatments took the brunt of the blame
as mosquito -pestered Parkhill area resi-
dents were offered short-term and
longer -terns, but less than certain, relief
from this year's unprecedented, pro-
longed attack of biting bugs.

to an agitated audience of more than
400 on 'Tuesday, July 19th by Pestalto
Environmental Health Services owner
1)r. Barry Tyler, would have his coni-
pany trying to kill the in -town current
crop of adult mosquitoes by driving
street -by -street fogging neighbour-
hoods with malathion which he said
won't affect people and pets and would
be effective for four to five days. The so-
called'adulticide' would not be applied
in wet areas that appear to be the pri-
mary breeding areas.
