Residents were anticipating a trip to
1oderich's St. Christopher Beach for a picnic
h mid-July,
Canada Day was celebrated at Queensway
on June 30, with Canada I)ay (quizzes and
word finds. Barb 'Thorel won a red hat with a
Canada logo on it for the most correct answers,
other participants won flag lapel pins. Red and
white Maple Leaf ice cream was served along
with cookies for refreshment.
Rev. Vellenga of Bethel Reform Church led
the worship service on July 5, with volunteer

On Wednesday evening, our first BBQ
supper club for six dined outdoors on the deck
Jocelyn barbecued mouth-watering hamburg-
ers with all the trimmings along with potato
salad, pop, water and ice CI cam. Volunteer
Edna l)eitz assisted. The outdoor barbecues
for groups of six are scheduled twice in July
and in August for those who enjoy dining
outdoors.
Father Graham was in for Mass with the
Catholic Residents on Thursday, assisted by
Marlette Bilcke and lletty Grenier.

outdoors on the deck, playing the llorse Race
game assisted by Jocelyn and Michelle.
Throughout the week there were many
opportunities for Residents to be outdoors,
although with the intense sunshine, exposure
was limited, even with sunscreen.

'therapy with Pain, exercises, sensory smooth-
ies, reading and reminisce, and )land Spa pro-
grams kept residents engaged throughout the
week.
