Henson District Co-operative (HDC) has signed a long-
term lease agreement to operate the grain elevator and
crop input business at the Greenway location. The
transition takes effect on July 1, 2011.
The 20 year lease will allow HDC to make Investments
that will meet the needs of the growers In the area. We
are under -taking some short-term Initiatives to Improve
the grain receiving for this coming harvest. A permanent
long-term plan will be developed that will Increase the
grain receiving speed.
HDC will continue to supply fertilizer, seed, crop
chemicals and the professional application services as
well as grain marketing and grain handling.

NOTICE OF THE ADOPTION
OF AN OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT
BY THE CORPORATION OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH HURON
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Municipality of South Huron adopted Official P'Inn
Amendment #8 (By-law #43-2011), on the 20' day of Juno 2011 under Section 17 of the
Planning Act. This amendment now requires the approval of the County of Huron.
PURPOSE AND EFFECT
The purpose of this Official Plan Amendment is to Implement a 150 metre buffer within which
sensitive land uses will not be permitted around the Grand Bend Sewage Treatment Facility
(STF). The STF Is situated on Lot 6, Aux Sables Concession, Stephen Ward, and is designated
Agriculture, Natural Environment and Floodplain in the South Huron Official Plan.
This buffer is being Implemented In order to comply with guidelines from the Ministry of
Environment regarding compatibility between sewage treatment and sensitive land uses.
Sensitive uses as defined by the Ministry Include residential, recreational, and Institutional uses,
as well as livestock facilities, orchards, and birdlwltdllfe habitats or sanctuaries. Those sensitive
uses will not be permitted within the 150 m buffer surTounding the STF. Existing legal non-
conforming uses can remain.
It is noted that part of the 150 m buffer around the Grand Bond STF Includes land within the
Municipality of Lambton Shores. This Official Plan Amendment does not apply to Iho land within
the Municipality of Lambton Shores.
This by-Inw amends the Municipality of South Huron Official Plan. Detailed maps sue available
for viewing at the Municipal Office in Exeter.
AND TAKE NOTICE that any parson or public body Is entitled to receive notice of the proposed
decision of the County of Huron, If they submit a written request for notification to the County of
Huron Planning Department. The ndoptod Official Plan will now be submitted for approval to
the County of Huron Planning and Development Department, Court House Square, Godorich,
Ontario, N7A 1M2.
A copy of the Official Plan Amendment documents aro available for inspection at the Municipal
Office, 322 Main St , Exeter, ON, NOM 1S6, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m
The lands affected by the Official Plan Amendment are also subject to a zoning by law
amendment (South Huron file A02/11).
