here in their butter and egg depart-
ment.
-The storm of last Saturday, Sunday
and Monday was the worst of the sea-
son. Business was quiet in town. The
snow being light, the train service was
not veiy much interrupted.
-Half of the store next to Willis &
Co's shoe store has been fitted up as an
office for the Doniinion Express Co.,
C. P. R. Telegraph Co. and C. P. R.
ticket office. The new office will be in
use in a few days.
-Mr. Clifford Pugh, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Pugh, of this toWn, has
accepted a position on the/ teaching
staff of the Collegiate at Lo don. Mr.
Pugh's many friends will w ,1). him suc-
cess in the Forest City.
-A matinee will be rui,'at The Pic-
ture House on Thursday/Feb. 12th at 4
o'clock. This affords e children and
those who cannot Comfin the evening
to see this beautiful drama, The Prison-
er of Zenda, in four parts. Admission
10 Cents.
-Mr. Alex. Carson has purchased the
H. J. Marshall stock of fancy goods,
etc. and has moved the same to the
vacant store next to Howson & Brockle-
bank's feed store. Mr. Alfred Taylor
will use half of the store as a tailor
shop, he having purchased the Orval
Taylor tailoring business.

Alex. Speir and family have taken up
housekeeping on the Speir farm, 5th
line. The place was formerly known
as the Sharpe farm. We hope they
will do well there.
The latest word from Gilbert Speir,
who was so seriously burned a few
months ago, is that he is able to sit up
and the limbs so serioualy injured are
improving.
During the past week George Somer-
ville, of Medora, Man., has been viait-
ing his mother and brother, rith line,

AUCTION SALES

Turnberry, having leased his farm will
hold a clearing auction sale of farm
stock and implements on Tuesday after-
noon, February 24th. Mr. Moffatt has
an excellent list of stock and imple-

The Executors of the estate of Mrs.
Eliza Wheeler will sell by public auction
at Belgrave on Saturday, February
14th, at 1 o'clock, the real estate and
chattels belonging to the estate. The
real estate consists of a 25 acre lot with
house, stable, etc., in Belgrave and the
chattels of household furniture, etc.
