The executive members, Ruth Buchmeier, Marilyn MacIntyre, Nancy Maclntyre, Margaret Hamilton and Sharon MacDougall, present- ed the worship service which was taken from the Glad Tidings. They told stories of the hundreds of meaningful symbols that Christians have adopted over the years. This reminded us not only of the birth of the Baby, but of his life on earth, his death and res- urrection. The members com- posed an arrangement that expressed the mood of the sea- son. The arrangement of these traditional symbols were high- lighted with carols, Scripture readings and musical num- bers. The hymn "Silent Night" `was sung and a closing prayer ended the meeting. The WMS annual meeting. followed the December meet- ing. All the reports and instal- lations of the new and old offi- cers for 2010 were received. A closing hymn and . closing prayer end the years meeting and happenings for 2009 Winter. rears its ugly head in Kinlough and area As wizter'finally reared its ugly head this past week, the area was crippled, closing highways, schools, cancelling events and making life just plain mis- erable. Thankfully the weekend weather cleared like there was no storm. The Kinlough Presbyterian * Church Sunday school led the sery ice with their con- cert chaired by Sandra Husk. Adults from the congregation also helped out. The Bushell family sang; other people acted in plays, sang in the choir . and gave readings. The young peo- ple present- ed plays and musical numbers by the Reids'•f were enjoyed by all. A Christmas dinner was enjoyed by everyone following the service. Our best wishes for better health go to Rose Moulton, of Kinloss, who is a patient in Kincardine Hospital.
