The Wingham and District
Hospital Foundation recently
announced that Debbie
Gammie was elected as
chairperson of the board of
directors.
Gammie has been vice -
chairperson for the past four
years and follows outgoing
chair Mary Lou Cameron.
Gammie is a resident . of
As.`hfield-Colborne-
Wawanosh and is the manag-
er of the Wingham branch of
Libro Financial Group.
The foundation board is
comprised of seven local vol-
unteers, chair (Gammie), vice
chair (Cameron), past chair
(Stuart Reavie), treasurer
(Gord Baxter), secretary
(Andy McBride), and Russel
Taylor and Earl Dolmage.
"The foundation is very
fortunate to have Debbie as
its chairperson. She brings
many years of experience in
the financial industry to the
foundation board; she is a
familiar face in the communi-
ty and she understands first-
hand the needs associated
with r•ural hoalth care," said
outgoing chair Cameron. .
The foundation also
announced their new co-ordi-
nator Emilie Tenney.
Tenney is a Wingham resi-
dent and works two days per
week at the hospital.

People can still drop off
donations at the hospital at
any time.
The Wingham and District
Hospital Foundation was
established in 1986 to sup-
port the hospital by facilitat-
ing donations form estates,
individuals, and corpora-
tions. With the rapid
advancement in health care
technology, the demand' is
constant to upgrade existing
equipment and purchase new
equipment. Your donations
for up-to-date equipment are
vital in helping the founda-
tion assist the hospital in pro-
viding the best possible
patient care.

first in Saturday's 4-1-1 compe-
tition and Jacob McGavin,
who ., competed without a
coach that day, came in fourth.
Other area tractor plowers
who made excellent showings
during the week were Paul
Dodds who placed fifth in the
Ontario Championship Tractor
class, Daryl O'Rourke, -third
in his group and Steven,.
Haney, Kevin Haney and
Zachery Doerr, each placing
fourth in their groups. Bill
Feeney and Shawn Flanagan
were also keenly competing,
as did George Townsend in the
antique class and Brian
MacDonald and John Dekroon
in horse plowing.
Donald Dodds attended as
IPM competition judge and
Graeme Craig as past presi-
dent of the OPA and Huron
County's OPA Director.
