people showed up,

Stan Grant, Bruce

Matthews.
Eighteen holes
-of golf were
played after the
rain stopped.
Bruce Heimpel
didwin the
"Fluke" prize on
hole number
seven. His drive
landed four feet
from the water, he
miss -hit his second
shot, which trav-
eled through some
bull -rushes, zing-
ing past the • heads
of some geese,
across the water,
into the • hill
between the sand
trap and green,
then up onto the

Sunday, Sept. 20
Was fantastic day
at the Wingham
Golf and ..Curling
Club. The club held
`their seventh annual
fall barbecue and
received record
attendance. Cardiff
catering did. a great
job again and _Jeff
reported 678 .hun
gry patrons enjoyed
the ham and beef
supper. Lloyd
Morrison, head of
the organizing com-
mittee did a terrific
job with excellent
assistance •. from
many volunteers.

the barbecue this
yearthe club held a
silent auction. This
also was a huge
success.
Monday the Red
Hat ladies joined us
at the club for
lunch.The gals
enjoyed soup and
kaisers and the staff
was happy to have
them.
Tuesday night the
club hosted a group
from Keil
Insurance.

day and also split
the winnings for

leagues are wind-
ing down.
Thursday is the
final game fol-

out banquet.

golf before joining
in the clubhouse for
a beef supper.
