Ken Goldsmith County of Bruce Weed Inspector 519-534-2092 Sonya Watson Clerk, Township of Huron -Kinloss 519-395-3735 1VIUNICIPAL CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF STORM SEWER OUTLETS TOWNSHIP OF HURON-KINLOSS (COMMUNITY OF POINT CLARK) NOTICE OF STUDY COMPLETION THE PROJECT: The Township of Huron -Kinloss is planning to reconstruct existing storm sewer outlets within -the shoreline community of Point Clark, in conjunction with planned upgrades to Huron Road. The project involves existing storm sewer outlets situated along the west- erly limit of Huron Road, which are undersized and do not meet current municipal "stan- dards. The existing storm drainage outlets will be abandoned or altered as required and new outlets constructed to facilitate improved drainage associated with the road recon- struction. Preferred routes for the proposed outlets have been identified and will be located within easements extending from the westerly limit of Huron Road to a dis- charge point located at either Lake Huron or Jardine Creek. THE ENVIRONMENTAL SCREENING PROCESS: The planning for this project is following the environmental screening process set out for Schedule B activities under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. The screening process has been completed. There were no negative impacts identified with the project that could not be mitigated. Subject to any comments received as a result of this Notice and the receipt of necessary approvals, the Township of Huron -Kinloss intends to proceed with this project. Requests must be received by the Minister at the address below within 30 calendar days of this Notice. A copy of the request must also be sent to the consulting engineers at the address above. If there is no request received by August 14, 2009, the project will pro- ceed as planned.
