PINE RIVER WATERSHED INITIATIVE NETWORK
PROJECT COORDINATOR
The Pine River Watershed Initiatives Network steering committee is looking for a
coordinator. The successful candidate will provide administrative, technical and operational
services for restoration/rehabilitation activities within the Pine River Watershed in keeping
with our goal/mission of Clean water and a healthy ecosystem within the• Pine River
watershed. Specific duties will include:
1)Writing grant proposals and reports.
2)Working with landowners, contractors, volunteers, government agencies, other groups
and organizations, community stakeholders, etc.
3)Organizing and managing numerous adaptation/mitigation projects within the watershed.
4)Communicating with media, on-site consultation with landowners, group presentations
and educational activities.
5)Planning consistent with mission and financial needs.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication
skills, time management skills, a solid background in environmental issues, ability to work
with minimal supervision, an agricultural awareness or background, proficient computer
skills, and a valid driver's licence. A college diploma or university degree is preferred.
Education in a related environmental field and 1-3 years of related work experience would
be an asset. •
Desired start date is mid September, 2009. Location is within Huron -Kinloss Township.
Employment is home based with flexible hours.
