After a scrump-. tious meal, Joan had a hilarious reading `White Lie Cake'. - The Opening Ode and Mary Stewart Collect opened the meet- ing followed ,by Alice Ritchie read- ing the minutes of the last meeting. A discussion on the fall fair exhibit with • the theme "Dairy . - more than milk" was held and the committee of Gladys Johnston, Alice Doelman and June Gilchrist will set up the WI dis- play. VandeSype of Guelph at their home for a. few days this week. Jamie Farrell and Krista Ferguson of Mount Forest were home on Saturday for _ the day. On Sunday Jim and Fran and fami- ly were guests of Derk and Lillian Logtenberg at their home in Goderich on Sunday where celebrations were held to meet Tyson and hold a baby shower for hire. Congratulations to Simon and Jan Logtenberg on their 25th wedding anniversary at this time, June birth- days and Father's Day were also cele- brated as well.. Bev and Frances Kingston from Chesley visited Morley and Deanna Scott in Kincardine on Thursday. Morley and Deanna were two of many who enjoyed the annual Vintage Tractor Tour for Bruce County with stops at .Teeswater, Formosa, Belmore and the = Nuestadt area. Congratulations to the Knox Presbyterian Church in Ripley who held 'another successful fish din- ner last week. Cheryl Bridge enjoyed_ a day away with MaryBeth Kerr taking in Southampton and Port Elgin on Friday. Carman and Kyle Bridge visited recently with Viola Bridge of Kincardine. Guests of Carman, Cheryl and Kyle were Ron and Diana Ellis of Auburn on Sunday. The Purple Grove Institute held their June meeting at the home of Anne Kukoly with Joyce Fatren as president and Janet Nixon as sec- retary. The district annu- al meeting was held in Elmwood with 106 in attendance from 24 branches. Andy Burgess spoke on safety. There will be course } September Elmwood. . June Elliott read the Scripture. News from Kinlough has it that a successful auction sale took place Saturday for the late Jim and Theresa Thompson formerly of the village. Kinlough Presbyterian Church Sunday School Picnic was held on Sunday at the church follow- ing the morning service. Games and a lunch followed.
