On Friday, June 12, Austin and
Connor Irwin marked their 10th
birthdays by inviting their whole
class from LCPS (plus a few
extras) to a party. Instead of
gifts, the boys requested dona-
tions to Easter Seals Ontario,
which helps kids like their
friends Luke and Zane Braun.
The class raised $520, while also
having a lot of fun at the party.
Finlayson's take on icecream shop
I, see by the Sentinel that
Finlayson's opened up the ice
cream shop located beside them
under the restaurant's name this
past weekend.
The BKool ice cream . shop
located 'oh Campbell Street
beside Finlayson's Restaurant
won't be run by Brad and Becky
Humphrey this summer, but
there will still be ice cream.
served at the location as
Finlayson's Restaurant will be
taking over,
There will be a few minor
changes like the • store will no
longer be named BKool, but will
become part of Finlayson's and
the ice cream (16 flavours) will
be provided by Horton's Dairy.
Becky and Brad Humphrey
enjoyed serving the community
of :Lucknow ice cream for 11
years, but felt they wanted to use
their summer time to travel and
pursue other ventures.
"We enjoyed doing it but it
turned into more work than fun
at the end," said Becky. "We did.
enjoy serving Lucknow and we
employed students for those 11
years. It was just time to move
on."
