Doug and Lorene-Casmore recently broke ground on the Nine Mile Villa, the sen-
iors residence they will be bringing to Lucknow.They now have an official address at
429 Inglis Street.

dream of owning and oper-
ating a seniors residence in
• the .-village of Lucknow, as
their Nine Mile Villa has
gotten the funds -and go
ahead for construction.
The building that will be

Lorene Casenfore, is a
Lucknow native and it's just
'natural for her,. with her
health care experience, to
want to bring a senior resi-
detieeteck to her roots, so
that .people don't have . to
• lea,Ve.wheit they call home.

care for 23 years and . my
• husbancthas been involved
in .helping seniors for a
while now," said Caseitiore.
"We are • looking at some-
thing . we : can do together
and it's something that we
both enjoy."

Mile Villa will be ready to
open by Nov. She's con-
fident that it's something
that will be positive for the
commtmity.
"We've been looking to
do something like this for
about 10 years and we've
just never found what we
wanted that existed here,"
said Casemore. "We really
felt that there was a need for
something like this in
Lucknow because there is a
big senior population here
and it's nice they don't have
to leave the village for
another senior residence out
of the area."

The enormous support of Kloe's Rare Haircutting
Adventure,by residents of Lucknow and surrounding
communites, enabled Kloe Livingston to prisent a
cheque for $10,612.25 to Tanya and Keegan jiihrtson
last weekend. Keegan is the president of The
Foundation for PradeoWilli Research Canada, the
recipient of the funds which will beused for research
into Prader.Willi Syndrome, the genetic disorder
that Kloe lives with. Kloe's "Adventure" during the
month of May had two purposes - raise awareness for
PWS and help young children who are battling can-
cer as 16 inches of ICfoe's blonde hair was donated to
Angel Hair Fund.
