HIS SISTER IN HIGI SCHOOL
IS IN A SMALLER CLASS.
RESEARCH STUDIES HAVE SHOWN POR YEARS:
SMALLER CLASSES PROVIDE A BETTER LEARNING
ENVIRONMENT THAN LARGER CLASSES.
So why do grade four -to -eight students in the Avon Maitland
District School Board have to sit in the second largest classes in
Ontario? It's a disgrace, and it's hurting your children's education.
The Avon Maitland District School Board has been given money
by the province to reduce class sizes. But the trustees of the Board
have refused to spend it on reducing class sizes in grades four
through eight - a crucial period in a child's education.

Do you believe this can continue without seriously affecting
your children's education?
What could be more important in the agenda of the Board
of Education than ensuring a solid foundation for your
children's education?
Avon Maitland's public elementary teachers are standing up
for your children. But we need your support. Please contact
your Board trustees. Tell them to live up to their responsibilities.
Ask them what takes priority over your child's education.
