The Lucknow Agricultural Society's variety concert and silent auction was a huge suC-
cess on April 4. Keen bidders and some friendly competition made it a fun evening.
Individuals and businesses donated 124 items for the event.The entertainment was
superlative, once again proving just how much talent can be found in our area. Ross
Henderson,Allister McKay and Karyn Martin provided some toe tapping numbers.
Wilson wants Veolia accountable

tion by saying she didn't
have back flow stops in
her house, but if she is
paying sewer charges she
expects it to be main-
tained during a flood.
"I had sewage water in
my home: I can't stop that
if the system isn't being
maintained," said Wilson.
"Veolia knew there was a
problem and did nothing."

to see some sort of
sewage damage protec-
tion for people's homes.

Bruce County giant
hogweed taskforce
The giant hogweed
infestation is a problem in
Huron -Kinloss.
H -K staff have identi-
fied areas of infestations
along the Ripley rail trail,
Lucknow trail,
Greenspace and a couple
of reports from the
Lurgan area.
Murray Lotton will be
the employee to handle
the problem with his
background in pesticide
training and will attend
the Bruce County giant
hogweed taskforce meet-
ings.

Bruce County would
prefer to restrict the cost
associated with repairs,
replacement and especial-
ly inspection costs of the
AED units. The

"Dating Game" and dis-
cussed what was found on
the hike. Everyone read
about what to bring on a
hike, and discussed sleeping
bags.
