In the March 25 edition ofi

Lancers played
three tough games
against the
Durham
Thundercats this
past weekend in
WOAA Senior
playoff action. The
Lancers went into
the weekend with
a 2-0 series lead,
but dropped two
out of the three
weekend games to
hold onto a one
game lead.
In game three on
March 27, things.
got away from
Lucknow as they
lost to Durham by
a score of 9-5.
Lucknow
bounced back in
game five at home
Saturday March 28
against the
Thundercats by
handing them a
decisive 8 - 4 loss.
Scoring for the
Lancers in game
four were Russ

goals 14 seconds
apart at 17:30 and
17:44. Brain

first goal on a two
man advantage

Moffat assisting
on the goal.
Murley picked up
the second power-
play marker with

The only goal in
the third period

of press reporter.
At the stretch
break the junior
leaders led the.:
members in a game
of Knights, Horses
and Cavaliers.
Members then took
turns reading aloud
about maps. They
learned that . they
could find high
points of land from
topographical
maps and how to
read them. The
members. cut up
cones to show how
topographical
maps worked.
As an introduc-
tion 1 to judging,;
members worked
in groups to judge
hiking shoes.
Ellen then
talked to the junior
members about the
requirements of
the club and Eile'en
spoke to the senior
members about
their project. Mary
Ellen closed the
meeting with the
motto and the club
enjoyed snacks.
The next meeting
is on April 3 at the
Jeffersons for a
hike.
