Kairshea WI was recently
held at . the home of Alice
Ritchie.
Irene Ifaidenby opened -
the meeting with the
Opening Ode and Mary
Stewart Collect. Irene also
read a poem and a reading.
Karen Alien read the
Scripture and the minutes.
were given by Alice
Ritchie.
The treasurer's report
was given by Andrea. June
Gilchrist was at the
District Directors meeting
and gave a very interesting
report.
The club's March `birth-
day' ladies, June, gave a
reading and an Irish joke,
Marion MacKinnon, had a.
contest "How. to know
your age" and Muriel
MacKenzie, had a riddle.
The rollcall of your
favourite recipe was
answered by .14 and one
guest, Barb Snowden, who
had served her favourite, a
delicious cake.
• Andrea Feeley intro-
duced Barb Snowden of
Barb's Country Catering.
Barb told: how she ,wanted
something extra a few
years ago and started
catering to service groups.
Her business has just
grown in leaps and bounds
by her great service and
wonderful food. Barb does
a great many weddings,
family gatherings, hockey
banquets of 250 or more
and many Christmas 'par -
ties anddinners. She will
also make potluck dishes,
squares and cookies. barb
also has an open house in
the fall for different
crafters and her Christmas
goodies. Barb has to be
very organized and is
totally dedicated to her
business. Anyone who
watches a movie while
reading recipe books is
certainly dedicated. Her
part time business has
grown to . be almost . ` full
time. Barb closed by giv-
ing everyone a lovely year
planner.
Kathy Gibson thanked
Barb for her interesting
presentation and also gave
the courtesies.
The meeting closed with
