Residents take
part in
Remembrance
Day ceremony
Queensway residents, volunteers
and staff hosted a successful craft
and bake sale Saturday, Nov. 14.
Volunteer Rita Van Wieren pre-
sided over her beautiful display of
hand knit and crocheted sweaters,
mittens, slippers and dish towels,
while Ed and Marilyn Hern had a
wide variety of wooden Christmas
crafts ` and novelties available for
sale.
Retirement resident Beth Knox
set up a table of her handcrafted
items which she creates throughout
the year.
Marjorie Freeman accompanied
by a staff member participated in
the Sunday, Nov. 8 Remembrance
Day Service at the Hensall Ceno-
taph, placing a wreath on behalf of
Queensway.
Wednesday; Nov. 11, some resi-
dents and staff attended the Re-
membrance Day Community Sup
per at the arena.
Art Group with Val Bradley drew
a good number of residents wanting
to try their hand at water colours.
Bethel Reform women have been
providing assistance with the Mon-
day bingo games. Following bingo,
they hold a hymn sing for interest-
ed residents.
Programs
such as break-
fast group, bak-
ing, church,
Wii workout,
massage, music
therapy, coffee
and news, exer-
cises and walk-
ingprogram
completed the
week.
