The Limon OPP are look-
ing for a group of individuals
responsible for a violent act
in Huron East where an SUV
was destroyed while the vic-
tims were inside the vehicle.
Upon picking up a group
at a party on Hydro Line May
28 at approximately 1:15
a.m., a couple sources in
Seaforth ‘vho asked to
remain anonymous said the
culprits blocked in the tar-
geted group with a vehicle, a
vicious attack on a 2016 Jeep
Cherokee ensued.
Sources say the group of
violent destructors are from
Mitchell and the Stratford
area.
In conversations through
e rn a i l, Huron
OPP Const. Jamie Stanley
said the vehicle was "heavily
damaged," including tiles
flattened, wipers ripped off,
windows smashed, glass
shattered throughout the
vehicle and dents on the
body panels.
I le estimates the damages
to be roughly $15,000 while
the sources deem the vehicle
as a complete write-off.
"There was a large party
taking place at this address
and a disturbance
altercation took place, the
driver attended the address
to pick up some passengers
and when they got into the
vehicle they were targeted
and the vehicle was dam-
aged and they were threat-
ened," stated Stanley.
Sources say the driver of
the vehicle had to flee the
scene by driving on the vehi-
cle's rims due to the tires
being slashed.
After the police were
called, Stanley said the
entourage dispersed before
the authorities arrived.
The Huron OPP crime unit
continues to investigate the
matter.
