HAUWERT, Mary -
Passed away suddenly on Monday, May
22, 2017, at the Mitchell Nursing Home.
Born in North Holland, The Netherlands, on
March 23, 1929, Maria Johanna Hauwert
(nee Koning) of Mitchell, formerly of
Seaforth, was in her 89th year. Beloved
wife of the late Theo Hauwert (1963).
Loving mother of Marianne Schweitzer of
London, John Hauwert (Margaret) of RR #3
Guelph, Dorothy Smith (Dave) of Mitchel!,
and mother-in-law of Kathleen Hauwert of
Burlington and Monique Hauwert of Alberta.
Cherished Oma of eleven Grandchildren
and three Great -Grandchildren. Also
survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Theo, sons
Ron and Nick, son-in-law Lawrence
Schweitzer, parents Johannes and Agatha
Koning, and her brothers Dirk and Thomas
Koning. Visitation was held at McGLYNN
FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Seaforth,
519-527-1390, on Thursday, May 25th,
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (with Parish Prayers
at 8:15 p.m.). Mass of Christian Burial led
by Fr. Festus Komolafe was held at St.
James Catholic Church, Seaforth, on
Friday, May 26, 2017, at 11 a.m. Interment
took place in St. James Catholic Cemetery
and a reception followed at the Seaforth
Legion, Branch 156. Memorial donations to
the charity of one's choice or the Heart and
Stroke Foundation are appreciated and can
be made through the funeral home. Online

NUHN, Cheryl -
On Sunday, May 21, 2017, Cheryl Ann
Nuhn was freed from the struggles of this
life and passed away surrounded by the
love of her family, at Seaforth Community
Hospital. Cheryl's 61 year journey among
us on earth was filled with love, laughter,
caring and sharing. Cheryl is lovingly
remembered by her spouse Dave Button,
her mother Doreen Nuhn and Earl (Hop)
Hawthorne, and her siblings, Brian and
Judy, Dennis and Laurie, Bill and Yumi.
Cheryl will also be fondly remembered by
Dave's family, Roy and Lori, Jim, John and
Sharlet. Aunt Cheryl will continue to be
loved and respected by her nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by her father Ross
Nuhn (1995). At Cheryl's request cremation
has taken place. Friends and family
gathered to celebrate Cheryl's life on
Sunday, May 28, at Seaforth Legion Branch
156, 123 Main Street South, Seaforth from
1-4 p.m. As expressions of sympathy,

Canadian Cancer Society, or the charity of
