Silent auction for S.P.S. student fighting cancer Justine Alkema Postmedia Network Residents can now take home specialty home furnishing items and at the same time support Rebecca Kipfer-Pryce, a 9 -year- old Winthrop resident with can- cer who attends Seaforth Public School. Sally's Closet in Seaforth is hosting a silent auction with all proceeds going to Kipfer-Pryce and her family. The auction's deadline is March 1 though they may choose to extend that date. One specialty item being auctioned was made by Janet Billson from Seaforth's "Add Some Flair". At Add Some Flair, Billson repaints and refurbishes old furniture pieces as well as holds DIY workshops and sells fusion mineral paint and finishing products. The item Billson donated to the auction is a display cabinet that she refur- bished and repainted. Billson has a storefront on 43057 Win- throp Road. Billson is a part of an online group of artists called "Paint it Forward". This group uses their talents to donate back to their respective communities, and that's what inspired Bill- son to donate to the silent auction. Other items in the auction include a small dresser, a pair of lamps, a pair of signed prints and an oval mirror.
