Last week mention was made in these columns of the illness of Mrs. W. N Manning of London, who was visiting in New York. Mrs. .!Canning has since died, Mrs. Manning, in com- pany with her husband, left London 'about three weeks ago,,on a pleasure trip south. Mrs. Manning had been in New York but a few days when she was taken i11 and removed to the. hos- pital. Although her condition was re- garded as serious, leer recovery was ex- pected. From what can be learned she died from a stroke. Mr. Manning ,was a former resident of Exeter and all his early life was spent here_ PRIZE WINNERS.
