Leadership can take many forms
but recently it came with a spe-
cific motto: head, heart, hands and
health.
The Huron County 4-H Leader's
Association held a workshop at the
Londesboro United Church and it
was standing room only.
The Huron County 4H Leader's
Association is a collection of indi-
viduals who are involved with the
development, main-
tenance and execu-
tion of 4H program-
ming in the county.
They range in age, gender, back-
ground and abilities but they col-
lectively share a single trait, the
desire to help shape rural youth
into productive and contributing
members of society.
The group's president Darrell
Bergsma says 4-H
is a worthwhile
endeavour both
as a leader ,,and as a
member.
He says the program teaches real
life skills which can be used in al-
most every situ-
ation. _

Bluewater Canadian Council of the
Blind holds first meeting of 2009
Joe Austin opened the first 2009 meeting of the Bluewater Canadian Council of the Blind
with "Oh Canada" and "The Lord's Prayer."
Marj Claus read the minutes of the last meeting. She gave the roll call with 25 members
answering "how they spent the winter." . .
Treasurer's report was given by Bill Flynn.
1 Marie Flynn handled business for the following year, with all agreeing with the sugges-
tions made.
Happy Birthday was sung to April birthdays.
Gordon Hill informed us of many CNIB outlets open-
ing in many towns and cities besides Toronto, to pur-
chase aids used by the blind. A different format to pick
up same on the same day.
"Learning to love ourselves" was a short story read
by Marj Claus.
Jim and Elaine Scott entertained with many songs
we could sing along with. This is one enjoyment the
blind enjoy so much.
Jim wished all mothers a "Happy Mother's Day."
Dorothy Bolton said Grace and thanked the helping
hands who served lunch.
