The First Presbyterian Church Choir also performed. John's sermon at Ca- van United Church for the first Sunday in May was "One Truth in a Super- market of Ideas." Greeters and collectors were Mike and Lori Goos. There was a baptism at Cavan on Sunday, April 26. Cohen Christopher Lammerant, infant son of Christopher and Kassie Lammerant was present- ed for the sacrament of baptism. That was quite a storm on Saturday evening. I guess we were lucky as our hydro was only out three hours. Frank and Grace Dolmage lost some trees very close to their house, John and Karen Braecker also lost an evergreen. The biggest loss in this area, was Bryan McClure's roof on the barn. Brian Nuhn on #8 also had con- siderable damages done to his barn. It certainly was very windy. Ruth Axtmann and Mar- ion Godkin attended the church service at Ford- wich United Church last Sunday. It was presented by the Women's Institute Association of Country Women of the World. Kar- en Gailbraith spoke of her working trip to China.
