Bernie MacLellan (Huron East) said if there are new issues to be addressed on the matter, which was designed to reconfigure the cur- rent 20 -seat council, then he would be willing to take it on. In echoing MacLellan's sentiments, Coun. Bill Dowson (Bluewater) noted there were a few constituents that had approached him to express displeasure at the fact the cost of having 20 county council- lors at the table Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire Insurance Company Notice of • ANNUAL MEETING The 133rd Annual Meeting of the Usborne & Hibbert Mutual Fire Insurance Company will be held at the Kirkton-Woodham Community Centre at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23rd, 2009, for presentation of the Annual Report, to elect Directors and to transact any business that may rightly come before the meeting.. Nominations will be received for the election of two Directors for a three year term. The Directors whose term of office expires are Jack Hodgert and Larry Gardiner, both of whom are eligi- ble for re-election. Article 21 - Any person wishing to seek election or re-election as a Director must file his intention to stand for election in writing with the Secretary Manager of the Corporation in per- " sons at least five days in advance of an Annual Meeting or Special General Meeting called for the purpose of electing Directors. Meanwhile, county Chief Admin- istrative Officer Larry Adams noted two-thirds of the COW would have to support the motion before it could move forward. In a recorded vote, as requested by Dowson, the motion was defeated when 11 councilors supported the motion and seven opposed it. As per county rules, 12 councillors would have had to support the reso- lution. Those supporting the request to bring the debate back to the table were John Bezaire (Central Huron), George Robertson (South Huron), Dowson, Max Demaray (Howick), Ben Van Diepenbeek (Ashfield-Col- borne-Wawanosh), Siemon, Murray Scott (North Huron), MacLellan, Ken Oke (South Huron), Deb Shew- felt (Goderich), and Bert Dykstra (Central Huron). Those opposed to the motion were Neil Vincent (North Huron), Jim Dietrich (South Huron), Dave Johnston (Bluewater), Tim Colly- er (Central Huron), Dorothy Kelly (Morris-Turnberry), James Fergus- son (Bluewater) and Neil Rintoul (ACW).
