Board of Stewards discusses service at ball park
February 2 has come and gone and Wil-
lie, Sam and all the other prognosticators
have predicted six more weeks of winter
which takes us to the middle of March
and the first day of spring. It is great to
have more daylight these last few weeks.
Ah! such is winter in Huron County.
Rev. John's sermon at Cavan United
Church was titled "The Bible and Suffer-
ing." Greeters and collectors were Carol
and Francis Hunt. This service was at 11
a.m. with a lunch following the service.
The annual meeting followed the lunch.
The Board of Stewards held a meeting
Winthrop
on Thurs • ay evening. i pcoming events
were discussed including the service , at
the Ball Park in June. Kitchen renova-
tions were again looked at.
Come join the group for Coffee Time on
Fridays at 10 a.m.
Remember the Old Fashioned Box So-
cial on Feb. 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Cavan.
