ZWEP, Aafke: Aafke (de Vries) Zwep of Brussels
passed away on Friday, January 30, 2009 at Hu-
ronlea Home for the Aged.Born in the Netherlands
on October 9th, 1921, Aafke was in her 88th year.
Beloved wife of the late Jacob Zwep (1979). Dear
mother of Atje Tuyten and husband Cherlie of
Stratford, Harry Zwep and his wife Natalie of Mis-
sissauga, Annette Lewington and her husband
Ernie of RR 2, Brussels, George Zwep and his
wife Jane of RR 2, Brussels and Jerry Zwep and
hig wife Sandra of RR 2 Brussels. Dear sister of
Ann Groenveld and her husband Andy of Ripley
and Ninke de Vries of Holland. Also loved by her
grandchildren Dwayne, Kim, Nicole, Lea, Dave,
Jeff, Danica, Randy, Nicl Cole, Mike and Laura
and her 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by
two brothers, a sister and her grandson Jacob.
Friends were received by the family from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m.Sunday at the Schimanski Family
Funeral Home wherethe service was conducted
on Monday, February 2nd at 2:00 p.m. officiated
by -Pastor Elly Dow. Remembrances of Aafke were
given .by her daughter Atje and son Harry. Pall-
bearers were. Aafke's grandchildren with inter-
ment in the spring in Brussels Cemetery. As an
expression of sympathy, memorial donations may
be made to Seaforth Community Hcopita:,U iQ 4L4-
ronlea Auxilliary or the Wad Disorder Association

Huron's youth have a new chance
to get involved in the. community in
2009 as a Junior Farmers club re-
turns to the county after
a seven-year absence.

ing fun and meeting
new people," she says.
The Junior Farmer
mission is "to build
future rural leaders
airough self-help and
community better-
ment."
Thanks to the recruit-
ing efforts -and 'support
of Barclay Nap, a Ju-
nior Farmer alumnus,
about 20 people have al-
ready signed up to be involved in the
organization for all youth age 15 to
29. •
The hew Huron Junior Farmers
are looking forward to future in-
volvement in the -community and
will strive towards developing agri-
cultural awareness, and promoting
youth involvement tkrough hosting
social events..
