HPHA hoping to launch $1. niIIIkn recruitrnent plan

es and they're up against 4,934 job
postings for nurses ,on the Health -
force Ontario website.
"The reality is there's not enough
RNs to go around," he said.
Complicating the .matter is that
while nurses who -graduated in the
1960s and '70s were generalists, to -
'day's grads are specialists who have
their choice of jobs.
"It's very rare to find a nurse who
is comfortable working in both inpa-
tient and emergency," said Williams.
While 47 RNs have left the HPHA
and 11 RNs have retired since May,
2007, Williams said the HPHA has
interviewed 67 and hired 46 nurses.
As well, 28 RPMs . have left the
