The Seaforth Skating Club's Bessie Mac-
Donald, 7, received a first place medal dur-
ing the Charles Dover Memorial Invitational
Competition in Grimsby, Ont. Jan. 10.
Bessie was awarded for her performance
at the CanSkate level during the competi-
tion.
The event had hundreds of skaters com-
peting at all levels.
At the pre -preliminary level, Altana Beuer-
mann, 12, competed in a group of 13 skaters
and finished in 5th place.
On Dec. 8, the club's CanSkate skaters
were tested and the following skaters passed
level two: Kole Hunt, Greg Huard,
Josiah Wozniak, Corbin Marshall,
Kiara Driscoll, Julia Dejong, Colton
Bachert and Alexander Fielding.
Level three passes were by Jan -
Willem Bokkers, Dana Swinkels,
Abby Thomson, McKenna Vere and
Cara Swinkels.
On Dec. 15, the following skat-
ers were tested on their dances and
passed: Courtney Pryce passed the
Canasta Tango, Lauren Anstett
passed the Baby Blues, Brittney
Pryce passed the Swing Dance, Al -
lana Beuermann passed the Swing
Dance and Sarah Jantzi passed the
Fiesta Tango.
The Seaforth Skating Club is also
looking forward to more great results
from skaters on Jan. 30 at the Dennis
Silverthorne Memorial Invitational

Ont.

Three Seaforth area gids- have been a part of the Mitchell Stingers Provincial Petite ringette
team since the start ot.the 2008-09 season. Captain and leading scorer Melanie Nolan (left)
is pictured with' goaltender Ashley Lavis, and defenceman Kim Alcock, and all have proven
to be Integral parts of the squad. The team plays in the Western Ontario Ringette League
(WORL) and will complete their regular season at the end of January. In March, they will play
at the provincial 'A' year-end
tournament In Ottawa.
