Robert Leathern, farm in Stephen, put
up for sale by public auction an Fri-
day last, was purchased by Mr. James
Willis of the ,same towi*nship, who owns
50 acres just west of the farm he
purchased. The price was $5,500.
AUTO PLATES FOR 1924,
Even auto license plates have anew
style every year. While this year the
color combinations are black and
white in 1924 the color scheme will
be yellow and black. Background will
he the brighter color and the numbers
will be the somber black. "They are
being made by the St. Thomas
and one-sixth cents, but what the pub-
lic will have to pay is not yet deter-
mined.
The party who found a robe out-
side the James St. church shed on
Nov. 3rd is requested to return same
to either W. J. Beer, the Exeter Ad-
vocate or the Exeter Times.
The Exeter Farmer's Co-operative
Shipping Co., have decided to ship
hogs by the grading method and will
ship Sat,y, Nov. 17th. An official
grader from Toronto will grade the
hogs in Exeter. All farmers are in-
vited to come and see this demon-
stration. Anyone having hogs ready
for shipment, communicate with the
shipper, Jos. Yellow, Exeter.
