In last months commentary we introduced you to the specialized Advisory and
Managed Account services at GaryBean Securities. These services offer you
access to a team of professionals at our firm, as opposed to an individual advisor.
This team then strives to maximize your total return while keeping in mind the
level of risk exposure that is suitable for an investor like yourself.
Today, we would like to talk about mutual funds and how our mutual fund
strategies can benefit your portfolio. At Gary Bean Securities we have specific
beliefs about how to make and protect your hard-earned savings when investing
With mutual funds. At the heart of those beliefs is the idea that the buy and hold',
theory of mutual fund investing is no longer the best strategy for many investors.
We do believe that good funds should be held for significant periods of time. We'
don't believe an investor can diversify their assets globally and forget about their
portfolio for three to five years.
At Gary Bean Securities we use a strict buy and sell discipline when evaluating
our mutual fund positions. Each week we analyze every fund available to Ontario
investors searching for the highest quality funds to build two model portfolios
that we implement within our client accounts.
At this time of year when many of you are thinking of what would be best for
your RRSP portfolios, we think we have the answer. Over the past five years our
mutual fund discipline has significantly beaten globally diversified portfolios.
Please feel free to call or stop in to our offices for the specific details of our
recorrimendation histories and current recommended holdings. We truly believe
that we can help you. Quality advice is only a phone call away.

Pryce, Jeffrey Fritzley and Noah Rebo concentrate on printing a message on their cards.
Kaitlin Gerretsen and Davis Sterner, both in Grade 2 at St. James School, deposit some early Valentine
