Huron Expositor, 2007-02-14, Page 17Sports Craig rolling with University of New Hampshire Wildcats Jan. 1 is a time for New Year's res- olutions, and while she may or may not have made one, as soon as the calendar flipped, junior and Seaforth native Leah Craig turned her game up a few notches for the University of New Hampshire women's ice hockey team. In the 10 games since the calendar changed to 2007, Craig is tied as the universi- ty's leading scorer, tal- lying nine goals and three assists, good for 12 points. She has netted a goal in eight of the 10 games, including each of the last four. In addition, Craig has piled up four multiple -point games during the span. During that span, Craig recorded game -winning goals against the University of Connecticut Jan. 6 in a 6-2 win and Jan. 27 versus Providence College in a 3-1 victo- Craig was the Wildcats' leading scorer for the month of January, putting six pucks in the net and setting up anoth- er two scores. In 29 games this sea- son, Craig ranks sec- ond on the team in goals (13), seventh in assists (10) and sixth in points (23).
