"We played really well (in the first game), but missed some chances on the net," says coach Alvin Dow. "(During the second game) I don't think they played as well as they could have. They seemed to get off track." The midget boys lost to the Windsor Devils 1-0 and then to the Windsor Jr. Riot 4-0. Seaforth's bantams came away with one win and two losses. Their first game was a 5-0 loss to the Windsor Riot, fol- lowed by a 1-0 overtime win against an east coast team and finished with a 1-0 loss to Innisfil. Coach Mike Regier says their second game was a close one, with Innisfil scoring with only a couple minutes left in regulation. "We outplayed them. That was our game to win," he says. Seaforth's other team - the peewees - came the next clos- est after the Assassins to bringing home a medal. Rallying after dropping their first two games, the pee- wees made it to the consola- tion finals, losing 1-0 ten minutes into overtime. "They played really well. The overtime was even. We had three or four good chances," recalls coach Steve Hulshof. The peewees lost their first two games, 4-0 to the Eastern Warriors and 1-0 to the Eastern Titans, which dropped.them into the conso- lation side. From there, the peewees defeated the Central East Rug Rats 5-0, then the Mildmay Red Wings 1-0, before losing in the finals in a rematch with the Titans.
