Gas stations in Huron being encouraged to use
signs alerting physicallychaflenged of full service
Huron County is hoping gas -ser-
vice stations will sign up for a new
initiative designed to aid the
region's physically challenged resi-
dents.
Coun. Dorothy Kelly (Morris-
Turnberry) told county councillors,
Wednesday, that gas stations are
being offered special signage to
alert passing motorists to the fact
full service is available to those in
need.
Kelly, chairwomafi of the county's
advisory accessibility committee,
said committee representatives will
be approaching service stations in
the county to see how many are
willing to participate in the In -

"I went out on Saturday afternoon
after I was finished work and there
was nothing left. It was just a pile
of rubble," said Ashley Falconer,
who rented the home owned by
Nick and Joan Whyte, with her
friend Lisa Somerville.
"Nothing was salvageable.
Anything we had in the house is
now gone."
No one was home at the time of
the fire. Two pets — a cat and a dog
— were not in the house, but a ham-
ster and goldfish were lost in the
fire.
