"Either people don't have any- where else to go or their kids are too far away and they want to be with others. Some have been coming for three years and others are new to it this year," says organizer Susan Campbell. After the first 'two. dinners, Campbell says she heard from par- ticipants how important the day was to them, which led to the deci- sion to hold the dinner again. "With the people who have come for the first two years, we're almost getting to be like a family our- selves," she says. "We hope this can be an annual event as long as possi- ble." 79. ID. H 9iu. Several other couples have also volunteered to help. While Campbell cooked one big turkey the first year, she's cooking two or three smaller ones this year to cut down on cooking times. She says they are always accept- ing donations of money and food towards the dinner but added frozen vegetables, pies and cookies are still in short supply this year. However, she says they have enough volunteers to help out Christmas Day. The dinner is served at noon on Christmas Day with cards and dominoes to follow. - Campbell says that while the deadline to register for the dinner was Monday, Dec. 18, . people can still call and "we'll try and fit you in." r, BOB'S ELECTRIC Fast Reliable Service Reasonable Rates Call Bob Proctor HOME: (519)527-0775 CELL: (519)440-7883 Seaforth Seaforth Agricultural Society Office Hours Monday, Wednesday & Friday 12 - 5 pm FACILITIES FOR RENT • Modern Kitchen Facilities • Wheel Chair Accessible • Over 10,000 Square Feet of Indoor Show Area FUNCTIONS FOR WHICH THESE FACILITIES MAY BE USED • BANQUETS • ANNIVERSARIES • MEETINGS • WEDDINGS • BUCK & DOES For Rental Information CaII (519) 527-1321 Fax (519) 527-0983 www.c4thagsociety.on.ca 141013 Elligsen ELECTRIC LIMITED FARM • HOME • COMMERCIAL • POLE LINES • STANDBY SYSTEMS (519)345-2447 R.R#4 WALTON, ONT.
