On Nov. 5 the church will be closed for Remembrance Day Service at Hensall United Church. The PCW hosted a suc- cessful soup and sandwich lunch on Thursday. At Hensall United Church, Jan Collings lit the Christ Candle and was also the reader. Melissa Snyders was the minister. Her message was "My Favorite Color." Chuck Mallette was the organist. Lucielle Beer was the greeter. John and Veronica Thomson looked after the ushering duties. Sunday, Nov. 5 is Remembrance Sunday and also food bank Sunday. , By Liz Sangster C.W.L looking for 2007 president St. Patrick's, Dublin, and. St. Vincent de Paul, Mitchell, were delighted to have a visit from Most Rev. Ronald P. Fabbro C.S.B. last weekend. He and our Pastor, Rev. Mark Poulin .performed the cere- monies. All parishioners received a special blessing from the bishop. A lun- cheon and visit followed. St. Patrick's C.W.L. are holding a Mother - Daughter Potluck on Thursday, Nov. 16. The popular "Ole Spice Girls" will entertain us. Come out .for an enjoyable evening. W e are look- ing for a C.W.L. member to take over the position of president starting January, 2007. All other positionshave been filled. C.W.L. membership fee ($20.00) will becollected in November. At the branch general meeting, Pres. Gwen Harburn presented Mike Marion and Kevin Bennett with the District Golf Plaque and the Provincial Award. At the cribbage tournament in Gorrie, Comrade Jim Watson's team came first, Comrade Ed Baker's team second, Comrade Kevan Broome's third and Comrade Dave Watson's team, seventh. All have qualified and will go on to Listowel on Jan. 27. A curling tournament will be held here on Nov 18. The sign-up sheet is in the branch. Our sympathy is extended to Comrade Don Keys and family on the loss of his wife. At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.
