Carter and Berger awarded for accomplishments over past season The Seaforth Lawn Bowling, Club held a successful dance at the Legion recently. Music was by the band "Dixon" from, Embro and kept dancers busy with their country and western tunes. During intermis- sion two presenta- tions were made, the first to Carol Carter of a 2006 Royal Canadian Mint coin set for winning a bronze medal at the Canadian Nationals, presented by Rick Wood on behalf of the Lawn Bowling Club. Second was the annual monetary award and plaque presented to the most improved new bowler by Terry Ford in memory of his late parents, Len and Janet Ford. This year's recipient was Rose Berger who expressed her sur- prise and gratitude to Terry and the Lawn Bowling Club. The fall annual meeting took place at the club house chaired by Rick Wood and tournament d'ates for 2007 were tentatively set. Bill Roberton is to be the new club secretary and Marg Ungarian, treasurer. Going over 2006 events showed an increase in tour- nament entries and all in all a good year at the club and end- ing with a great social evening with the dance at the Legion. by Mary Finlayson Sports story idea?
