Clinton musical group Jubilation
performs at special services
Well -attended 131st
Anniversary Services were
held at Cavan United
Church in Winthrop.
Rev. John conducted the
service. Rev. Jane
Kuepfer, a former minister
at Cavan and Northside,
was the guest speaker.
Her topic was
"Anniversary - a time to
look back; a time to look
ahead and a time to
reflect."
She likened the church
as a living organism -
growing and changing -
like the
trem-
bling
aspen tree
which sends out a root
system from which other
aspensgrow individually
but are still connected to
the source tree.
The musical portion of
the service as well as spe-
cial numbers were provid-
ed by "Jubilation," a musi-
cal group from Clinton.
Next Sunday, Cavan
United is back to its regu-
lar time of service -9:30

ning inn - the Little Inn of
Bayfield - is preparingto
celebrate 175 years of his-

Baron DeTuyll, one of
the Bayfield's original
developers, purchased the
village coach stop in 1832.
Since its first expansion in
1845, the building has
undergone significant
changes.
As a designated heritage
building, features of the
inn can still be dated back
to the mid -1800s.
Known for many years
as. the Commerical Hotel,
the inn was owned by
many different people,
before the Waters pur-
chased the inn from a
group of local doctors in
1980. They renamed it the
Little Inn of Bayfield, as it
was called in the 1950s.
