Two candidates are run- ning for each of these posi- tions. Candidates will give short opening statements followed by questions and answers. The Presbyterian Church ' Women of Carmel Presbyterian Church are hosting a soup and sand- wich lunch on Thursday, Oct. 26 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., everyone welcome. Come out and enjoy our fall meal at the Hensall Drop -In on Oct. 19 at the Hensall United Church. Following lunch at noon, Mary Lynn MacDonald will speak about scrapbooking. By Liz Sangster Anniversary service approaching Rev. John's theme at Cavan United Church for Thanksgiving service was "Prayer" and the sermon title was "Thank you God - is not the end of the conversation." Greeters and collectors were Doug and Vicki Campbell. The Junior Choir con- tributed a vocal number as well as the Winthrop Quartet. Next Sunday there will be no service at Cavan as it is anniversary services at Northside. Guest speaker is Dave MacDonald(CKCO-TV weatherman). There will be special music and lunch will follow. The following Sunday, Oct. 22, is Anniversary Service at Cavan. Guest speaker is Rev. Jane Kuepfer. Time of service is 11 a.m. Thanksgiving Sunday, the Campbell family, including the Moreys, to Brinkes, MacDonalds, Howsons and Campbells travelled to Mildmay where they had a family get together with Ruth's brother Ron and his family. About 40 members sat down to a potluck dinner.
