About 4 o'clock, Sept 13 the barn
of God:in Young, eighth concession of
Colborne, was totally destroyed by, fire
and with the exception of some wheat
practically all the. grain; was destroyed.

How to Make Apple or Crabapple Jelly
Remove stern and blossom ends
from about 3 lbs. ripe fruit, and cut
in small pieces. Add 3 cups water,
cover pan and simmer 10 minutes.
Crush with masher, cover pan and
simmer 5 minutes longer. Place fruit
in cheese -cloth bag and squeeze out
juice. Measure '7% level cups (33
lbs.) sugar, and 4 cups juice into
large saucepan, stir and bring to a
boil. At once add 1,1i bottle (scant %
cup) Certo, stirring constantly, and
bring again to a full boil for % •min-
ute. Remove from fire, let stand 1
minute, skim and pour quickly.
