The 'ceremony took place at Egmondville United Church with Pastor Steve Hildebrand presiding. The bride's attendants were Andrea McGrath, : Kim Janmaat, Kendra Jewitt and Barb Pearson. The groom's attendants were Jason Tunney, Derek Mitchell, Kurt Beuerman and Greg McGrath. The couple spent their honeymoon in Panama. C orre spondnece Residents gather for session on hearing loss Residents, staff and com- munity gathered in the Queensway Retirement Residence activation room Tuesday, July 18 for a valu- able session provided by Beck Hearing Centre of London. Information about different types of hearing aids, and hearing loss were discussed as well as basic care and cleaning. Those in attendance were pleased to have their questions answered by the professionals. Several ladies from the retirement residence walked to Hensall United Church to attend the recent art show. They voted for the "People's Choice" award choosing their favourite piece of art and fin- ished off their excursion with scones and muffins in the tea area. The Fun and Fitness pro- gram held Monday, Wednesday and Friday morn- ings at 10 a.m. has been located outdoors on the deck area most mornings where residents can benefit from the fresh air and sunlight before the day heats up. Following the program the morning snack is served to those outdoors as well. Friendship Friday on July 21 at 7 p.m. was a toe -tap- ping event with Bill Gibson entertaining residents and friends with his piano music. Residents have been dis- cussing the upcoming 45th Threshers Reunion in Blyth that we have attended in the past. It is scheduled for Sept. 8, 9 and 10 so plans may soon be underway to enjoy it again this year. July busy month with Western .Entertainers at Diner's Club There have been many days at the Seaforth Manor Retirement Home where we have been enjoying the nice patios out front and have seen the flowers bloom day after day. There have also been a lot of days where the heat has kept us indoors. July has been very touchy with the weather. There were also quite the thunderstorms throughout the month of July. The Seaforth Manor is always in need of volunteers. Please call Tammy at 519- 527-0030 if you would like to volunteer some of your time. Residents enjoy the extra walks and outings that can happen with the help of vol- unteers. During the month of July, we were very busy at our Retirement Home. We had our Diner's Club with The Western Entertainers who were terrific. We continue to enjoy the uptown errands every week, which gets us out and about in the community. As every Friday approaches our residents look forward to readings by Fred and Grace. Munnings at 3:45 p.m. fol- lowed by bingo later on in the evening at 7 p.m. THE NAME OF THE GAME IS FUN.
