Family provides music during
service at Cavan United Church
Rev. John's sermon at Cavan
United Church was titled
"Scattering Your Seeds in the Air,"
The Boettcher Family of the
Walton-Moncrieff area provided spe-
cial music during the service - Mrs.
Boettcher played the keyboard and
her four boys played musical instru-
ments including the trumpet,
French horn, cello, violin and
recorder.
It was a pleasant experience to
hear this group play. Bud Eyre and
Francis Hunt also sang a hymn.
Greeters and collectors were Jim
Rapson and Brian and Carolann
Campbell.

Jim ` and Ruth
Axtmann have
returned from a
trip to the Yukon
and Alaska. They
motored through the States and
returned to Canada to visit Ruth's
sister Laurel East at Wawa.
They then headed west through
Thunder Bay to the Edmonton Mall
where they attended a dinner the-
atre.
Continuing up to Watson Lake in
south Yukon they toured a place
that has sign posts from all over as
well as a photograph simulation of
the Northern Lights. At this time of
year it doesn't get dark enough to
view them naturally. :.:_•
In Whitehorse they visited with
Jim's niece. They also visited
Dawson City, Yukon and Fairbanks,
Alaska and toured the park contain-
ing Mount McKinley. On their trip
many deer, elk, moose and bears
were seen.
On Saturday, the Hemingway
family held their annual picnic at
the Winthrop Ball Park. Members
were present from Guelph,
Cambridge and other local points.
